2008, I was lucky enough to go with Chris on a job in Ghana. My job was to look after him & soak up the culture. I soon became saturated & infatuated with the people, their smiles & the wonderful colour & pattern in their fabrics, symbols & crafts.

It was not  landscape, but people I felt I needed to portray. Their ebony muscular bodies, either tightly wrapped in traditional dress or casually draped in loose fitting work wear accentuating their sexiness & evidence of a life of hard work.

The works here were done in my hotel room in Accra, using the few materials I had taken, the glass coffee table as my ink plate & a pair of socks as my burnisher
